Ingredients for serving :
Directions
Drain the can of chickpeas. IMPORTANT: Place a bowl underneath before draining to preserve the liquid. Set the liquid aside (this is the aquafaba). Rinse the chickpeas with cold water.
Well drain the chickpeas. For best results, the chickpeas need to be well-dried. Spread the chickpeas on a paper towel and place another paper towel on top. Rub in a circular motion to remove any excess water.
Place the chickpeas in a food processor, excluding 6 to 8 chickpeas. Add the rest of the ingredients to the food processor. Blend until the mixture is creamy and homogeneous.
If the hummus is not creamy enough to your liking, add more oil to the mixture.
